Aireal Anderson Joins the ProAct Indy Team!

At ProAct, we believe that meaningful relationships and an informed community are critical to the success of our innovative ProActive Community model. Helping others internalize the importance of understanding the social context vulnerable populations live and work is crucial in helping us serve vulnerable populations better.
“As an organization that prides itself on community engagement and training, it has always been a dream of mine to cultivate a training team to scale our model into previously unreached communities,” said Derrin Slack, Founder & CEO. “And with the growing demand of our training and education programs, we are fortunate to welcome our first teammate into our new training role, Community Impact Trainer.”
Aireal Anderson joins our team as our new Community Impact Trainer. She has dedicated nine years of service as an educator, gaining experience in classroom and culture management, strategy, outreach, and marketing. Anderson previously worked as the Community Outreach Coordinator at Purdue Polytechnic High School – North and she possesses a passion for connecting the dots between families, diverse populations, and stakeholders as they identify their goals of transforming underrepresented communities.
Ever an achiever, Aireal is recognized as an award-winning educator by the US Congress for the African American Excellence Award. Her advocacy work as an Alumni of Circle City Leader’s 2021 cohort, and her latest acceptance as a fellow of Surge Institute’s INDY22 Fellowship, allow her the bandwidth to keep a pulse on the community at large and gain knowledge and experience that will suit her well in this new role.
Anderson also enjoys collecting books for her library, advocating for the arts, music artists, and developing strategic marketing plans that help musicians reach their target audiences.
In her role as a Community Impact Trainer, Aireal will not only support our youth programs in partnering schools, but she will work to develop a comprehensive strategy for our training programs through ProAct University, cultivate new training partners and subject matter experts to inform our curated curriculum, and oversee the administrative duties of our learning management system for our partners, community members, and educators.
“We are excited to reach this milestone to begin developing a highly-skilled training team that will allow us to reach new heights, generate revenue, and further our impact in the community,” Derrin Slack said of this new role. “The ProAct story continues to be written, and we are pleased to welcome Aireal to the team to further realize our vision for our youth and community.”
