Kamryn Schmidt, Community Impact Concierge

As a South Bend native, Kamryn moved to Indianapolis to pursue her studies at the University of Indianapolis (UIndy). At UIndy, she is majoring in Sociology with minors in Political Science and Math. She is also working to complete her Master’s in Applied Sociology with a concentration in Community Leadership. While on UIndy’s campus, you can often find Kamryn working in one of the community gardens on campus or participating in research through the Community Research Center.

Kamryn chose to work with ProAct due to its focus on engaging youth in service. Kamryn has previous experience engaging youth in service through the Civil Air Patrol, which she has been a member of for almost seven years. Through the Civil Air Patrol, Kamryn gained leadership experience while working with other youth which will help her through her role as a CIC. In this role, Kamryn is looking forward to working with schools the most to help the students engage in service.
